Just wondering if I should retire when my 62nd birthday rolls around. It seems like I'm paying lots of taxes for lots of hangers on who like to sit around, do nothing and collect the money I work hard for.
Maybe I should do the same thing and let the government support me for a while. Or, can I do that, since I'll still have real estate taxes, and all kinds of insurance money to pay?

ReplyDeleteThe way things are going, everyone I know's income is already getting really low. I wonder if the IRS will change the rules pretty soon, because otherwise all the workers will get their tax money back.
ReplyDeleteI took my SS as soon as I hit 62. I did the math and would never come out ahead anyway. Want to get it while it's still there. Lord knows, I earned it. Wait a minute - it's MY money.
ReplyDeleteUs Boomers have a lot to worry about these days--too taxed, Social Security going broke, investments plummeting, too old to start over but too young to retire! Ah, the "Golden Years!" :)
