Fill in the blank - If I were retired I would...

Leave a comment, please.
Pick one little thing you'd like to do if you were retired.

Here's one thing I'd like to do if I were retired -

If I were retired, I would go to animal shelters at least a few times a week. There, I'd spend time with the poor abandoned dogs that need a home. I know I couldn't bring them home, since I already have one, but at least they'd get some company and maybe another walk than they'd get otherwise. I know I'd feel bad leaving them there, but at least I'd feel good I'd offered them some relief from their boredom.

Your turn.

One Reason I Pay So Much For Insurance

Check the story in the Daily Herald this morning. There is something definitely wrong with this picture. No wonder we pay so much for insurance. I like the part in the story about improving customer loyalty metrics. I don't think this helps with the loyalty angle, do you?

Should I retire soon

Just wondering if I should retire when my 62nd birthday rolls around. It seems like I'm paying lots of taxes for lots of hangers on who like to sit around, do nothing and collect the money I work hard for.

Maybe I should do the same thing and let the government support me for a while. Or, can I do that, since I'll still have real estate taxes, and all kinds of insurance money to pay?

Look What Alan Jackson Show Tickets Bought

I have a soft spot in my heart for Alan Jackson, as I do for most country performers.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I was looking at the US 99.5 website and got a gander at the estate he's selling. I've no clue how many other properties he owns or what they look like. All I know is this one does not like anything like a country guy's place, not that there's anything wrong with it. I applaud him for having enough talent to afford this pad in the first place.

Take a look for yourself. Maybe you'd like to buy it. Just be careful. You may get dizzy like I did if you click the virtual tour button. Here's the link:
